Fire Wood

On the 5th May 2004 a Fire broke out at Blackpool Pleasure Beach damaging much of the Grand National's station as well as the adjoining Alice Ride and Trauma Towers attraction

Fortunately the 80 fire-fighters who were called to the scene managed to get the blaze under control, and stopped fire damaging the main part of the wooden racing coaster

These photos were taken as the clean-up work to repair the ride was underway. The station was refurbished and the ride re-opened in October 2004
