Holiday World & Splashing Safari is most definitely America's friendliest park, set in the country with three wooden monsters the park has a very organic feel with a massive adjoining water park with many slides

A lot of the photographs were taken on a special guided tour of the park thanks to Paula from Holiday World and the European Coaster Club.

The park has a nice well rounded collection of rides including Shot Tower, Wave Swinger, Log Flume and rapids with mischievously timed waterfall effects. Gobbler Getaway is a quirky little dark ride rather than shooting anything you use your lazer caller to gather up the runaway turkeys , it's a bit of a giggle

The three woodies are what the park is most known for starting with the smallest The Raven is set in a heavily forested area as with all three Holiday World greats which adds a wilder sense of thrill to the adventure, the Raven's fast pacing, airtime pops and the infamous swirling swoop around the waters edge area a fantastic introduction to the woodiest threesome to be found in Indiana

Clutching the hillside terrain like a menacing ogre The Legend wraps its twisted track around and around the dense woodland, the speedy snaking coils and dark tunnels make for a uniquely unpredictable disorientating ride

Concluding the trinity The Voyage is a way, way, waaaay out and back layout, it's hard to appreciate just the absolutely sheer scale of this beast, it's simply gianormous, from the station the train climbs to lofty heights of over 160ft before plummeting down into an untamed rampage far, far off into the backwoods, lunging up and down with immense speed and airtime aplenty plus clever tricks worked into the terrain throwing in a few surprises along the way, complete with tunnels and ninety degree banking The Voyage is a crusade of epic proportions

The family owned aspect of Holiday World radiates through to make the experience extraordinary, you can genuinely feel the deep sense of pride and love that makes every inch of the park perfect
