Like a dandy highway man Walibi Belgium has unashamedly stolen other park's attractions, from Disney’s Mine Train to Centre Parcs’ water park, padded out with almost every page from the cookie cutter catalogue all coming together to somehow make an interesting park

The signature beast is Loup-Garou a fantastic wooden coaster, the werewolf howls down the fast paced drops from a typical out n back coaster with long exhilarating turns from a twister coaster, there are a few jolts in the track but they don't distract too much from this very enjoyable ride

Walibi Belgium is home to a lot of “off the shelf” rides however they have attempted to theme them really well which does add a bit more charm to the whole affair. Turbine for example is the parks pimped out Schwarzkopf shuttle loop, from standing still in the loading station the lights go out and the train instantly catapulted into a very disorientating enclosed loop

Calamity Mine is a heavily themed Vekoma mine coaster, the gravity powered thriller definitely has more oomph than the powered versions and its papier-mache facades add a lot to the thrill while bordering on a bit more generic side Vampire the brutal Vekoma SLC and Cobra one of the nicer Boomerangs have been plonked in for substance along with Flashback the Walibi standard triple drop reversing log flume and Dalton Terror an Intamin drop tower delivers an awesome airtime-popping plummet

Walibi has two well done dark rides Palais Du Genie is an ornate Vekoma mad house and Challenge of Tutankhamon is an astonishing interactive ride, the intense scenes are quite frightening, the trackless element and multiple endings keep you guessing to where you're going to go, a true adventure ride

Located in the entrance plaza Aqualibi is Walibi’s en-suite water park which is included as part of general admission, inclusive of wave lagoon, bubbling grotto pool, tubing slide, two giant flumes snake their way down the outside of the building and rapids a continuous concrete cascading chicane which risk assessment forgot

Although Walibi Belgium's relatively large collection of attractions is padded out with a lot of generic off-the-shelf rides, they are all themed and well presented, and complimented by the couple of truly one-off themed adventure rides. The park does perhaps lack a true signature coaster, something which the ill-fated vertigo unfortunately failed to deliver
