Build it and they will come! When the coaster enthusiast first catches the scent of fresh wood in the air, you better batten down the hatches for the great swarm will descend onto your park, no pathway will be free from gatherings of digital camera clutching geeks, no exit ramp will be clear of credit whores notching up another one to their sacred counts and no gift shop will be complete without the gaudiest merchandising possible, the giantest most psychedelic slogans you can stretch onto a tee shirt the better!
Beech Bend was a fairly anonymous park before the arrival of Kentucky Rumbler, a zyklon loop and a spinning mouse coaster were perhaps too everyday to tempt even the hardest of credit whores to the wilds of Kentucky. It just proves that the right investment can make your park and a GCI woodie is sure to bring international acclaim.
Take your seat in one of those sexy sleek single row articulated numbers, feel the soft leather cushion your derrière, strap-on the belt across your lap, restraint yourself tightly, thrust down hard, go all the way down, we don't one anybody to loose it on the first click, right we're all ready to be dispatched
The exit ramp neighbours the track out of the station providing some great interaction with the unusual sidewinding slither to the foot of the lift hill, then it's the upward climb to the summit of this beautiful wooden mountain, a mountain packed tightly with smooth swoops, twisted turns and crazy cross-overs you'd now expect to find in any ride crafted by the coaster contortionists at Great Coasters International
This beast just flies, from start to finish Kentucky Rumbler is an exhilarating rush through the high-banked high-jinx antics, a re-ride-able wonder, a worthy signature ride to carry the park into the spotlight.
Elsewhere there's a freshly painted, nicely presented collection of travelling rides including a Reverchon log flume and Zamperla power surge. The park does well to cater for everyone with rides for a broad spectrum of tastes from the gentle antique cars right through to the evils of Scat 2.
Beech Bend is an exceptionally welcoming family run park, the neat collection
of carnival rides is substantial enough to support Kentucky Rumbler and
a great foundation for the park to evolve in the future.
