Wow! In the age where theme park chiefly means nicely dressed amusement park it's breathtaking to discover Phantasialand a theme park unusually true to the definition of the term and a place that is so far removed from reality it is like being inside some magical dream
A grand European street leads into an untamed African village which is boarded by a huge North American canyon leading through to a splendid oriental temple which neighbours an ominous Gothic castle tower, Phantasialand is positively tiny yet the many themed sections crammed into the park is very impressive
The sheer absorption into the many different themes is overwhelming, the intense scenery and attention to detail add so much excitement, imagination and sense of adventure to the well crafted attractions
Despite the park's small scale it's often impossible to see the entire ride, the very clever design of the park disguises many of the attractions features, cleverly hiding them away so you can only see the surprises, the twists and the turns in store when you're actually on the rides
This combined with the awe-inspiring themeing creates a great sensation of discovery when exploring the park, not knowing exactly what to expect around the next corner or what surprises are lurking ahead make for a tremendously fun experience
. . . For this reason I'm not going into any precise detail about the attractions at Phantasialand, I'm not spoiling the surprises waiting for you at a very unique, magical themed park
