It's getting increasingly easier to find a European theme park that's open in Janurary, as the trend of winter opening grows.

Efteling sprinkle a tad more pixie dust to ensure that the special winter attractions fill in for some of the park's signature rides on their closed season break

While Toverland had the sensible idea of keeping the fun under covers, so whatever evil plot the weather has in mind, it can't break the spell of fun and frolics

Duinrell had a small winter event too which largely focused on their childrens rides, so we decided to give this one a miss, but did pop into their water park which opened until late at night.

The three parks offer quite a diverse range of winter experiences we'd recommend Holland for those considering a closed season trip
